Main Info
The Mount Hagen Cultural Festival is held in the second week of August each year. The festival is held in Mount Hagen, the provincial capital town of Western Highlands Province. Participants from throughout the country come together in this central location to display their respective cultures and traditions in the form of dance and mime and outclass one another to the beat of their kundu-drums.
The Mount Hagen Cultural Festival is a world-famous cultural extravaganza, where visitors from outside of Papua New Guinea come in big numbers to visit this festival.
